Lever/Pad
Lever pad door handles consist of an elongated lever handle on one side and a paddle shaped handle on the other. These are designed for use with key wind locks. However they can be affixed to multipoint split spindle door locks.

It is important to ensure that when you choose a new set upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the handle spindle to the centre of the hole in the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because the handles are required to be aligned to ensure that doors stay locked, whether you are looking from the inside or from the outside. Our handles are designed to fit most standard cylinders, but it is a good idea to double-check before ordering.
If you are looking to upgrade to dual spindle levers, you'll need to remove the existing handles and disassemble the lock case. This will require an additional split inline cylinder. You can purchase these separately. We have included a technical diagram in the images of each product.
It is a good thing to loosen the screws holding your existing door handle and then inspect the mechanism. You may need to loosen the screws even more if they are not tight. After that, you can remove the old spindle and handle and put in your new door handle made of upvc. Before putting the handle in position, it is recommended to make sure it is in the right position, and you can do this by putting your finger into the gap between the frame of the door and the door handle to make sure that it is in a level position.
Lever/Lever
Lever door handles operate with a multi-point lock that utilizes a Euro cylinder. They can be found on most double doors made of upvc, aluminum doors and some wooden doors. They come in two types, with an interior lever and a paddle outside. Sprung - these include a spring cassette inside the backplate to bring the handle lever into an upright position. Non-sprung: These do NOT have a mechanism to spring the handle lever into a horizontal position.
To fix the door handle lever that is sliding, you'll need to find the detent access pin or hole. It's usually a small hole or protruding ring or rectangular that is located on the base of the handle plate. Once you have located it, loosen the set screw using the help of a screwdriver, and then take it off to allow the lever to return to the horizontal position.
Once the handle has been set horizontally, it is possible to reinstall the screws. Make sure to tighten them so that the handle stays connected to the base plate. It is also advisable to apply a threadlocking adhesive to the screw threads to increase the grip and stop them from loosing over time.
There are a variety of reasons why lever door handles droop. The most common reason is that the fixings are too tight which causes the lever bearing to get tangled up against the door. It could also be that the levers aren't being operated in a straight line and this is causing the latch mechanism, preventing it from fully springing back into service.
Another common reason is that the sprung lever isn't operating correctly and this is typically due to the spring not being in the correct position within the backplate. The most effective way to determine this is to turn the handle and see whether it returns to the horizontal position.
It is important to fix any loose door handles as soon as you can. This could cause excessive wear on the screws, and the handle could fall off the base plate. It is recommended to tighten all screws that are loose on a regular basis, as this will help to prevent them from becoming loose.
Lever/Snib
These handles made of upvc are called "Snib handle sets" and feature a snib lock button at the top of the door lever. If you don't have a dummy locking device you can use this to lock the door. They usually come with a Fullex 68PZ (that's 68mm between the spindle centre and lever or the lock centre) door lock. We also have a selection of 68PZ door handle from brands like Ferco and Fab & Fix.
